This 2005 Updated Fact Sheet contains highlights of New York State's implementation of the requirements for teachers and Title I paraprofessionals in the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) for use by local educational agencies that are preparing local consolidated applications for NCLB funds for school year 2005-2006. It is accurate as of the date of its publication and replaces NCLB NYS Field Memo #02-2004.

Information about requirements for special education teachers in the NCLB and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) will be issued separately.
